Embroidery kit Spring napkin (Only available with Danish manual at the moment)
One of the first signs of spring is birdsong, light green leaf's and flowers. On this napkin the bird is gone, but all signs of it’s presence is there. The techniques used for this napkin is stem stitches, cast-on stitches, raised satin stitches, heeringbone stitches, French knots, single stitches, backstitches with whipped stitches in. When embroidering circles like this, it is a good idea to use a sewing frame to hold the tightness og the fabric, so it won’t pop up in the center, as it normally will when the stitches tightens up. The edges is made with whipping stitches and tiny picots in colour changing yarn in the colours used in the center embroidery.
